Carol & Mark Johnson

“Our first visit to Hawai‘i Volcanoes National Park in 1979 showed us beauty and the excitement of adventure. Years later, we discovered FHVNP and became members.  We have since participated in amazing institute programs and have joined the Friends’ Forest Restoration Committee. It is a wonderful opportunity to meet interesting people who care and are curious to learn. When families and children join in planting natives or removing invasives, we all go home with smiles and the nice feeling that being outdoors experiencing nature brings.”
