Youth Ranger Internship Program
Hawai‘i Island Youth Ranger Program
The Youth Ranger Internship Program is an 8 week summer, park-run and friends-supported summer program providing education and career preparation to High School juniors and seniors in rural East Hawai‘i. Youth train with park rangers in six different divisions within the park, including Interpretation, Natural Resources, Cultural Resources, Maintenance, Protection, and Administration.
FHVNP pays stipends during pre-program training directly to the youth at $180.00 each. We co-sponsor the graduation, end of work celebration event.
