Guardians Of The Trails
Our flagship program, the Guardians of the Trails service corps, is designed to address critical needs while offering a direct pathway to environmental career opportunities for local youth.
Youth Ranger Internship
We co-sponsor the Youth Ranger program for underserved high school students to work in the park every summer.
Protecting Endangered Species
The Friends fund and facilitate predator management, habitat restoration and ongoing conservation efforts to protect the Park’s endangered species, such as our Hawksbill Sea Turtle and Nēnē.
Forest Restoration
Forest Restoration Projects help protect precious native forest ecosystems and the rare koa-'öhi'a forests. Projects include native seed collection, invasive species removal, and seedling planting.
Pōhue Kahuku Land Management
The Friends support conservation and maintenance projects in the non-public areas of the Park.
Guardians of the Forest (K9 Program)
Pilot fund to provide veterinary care for the Park’s dog-assisted field teams that protect fragile native forests, endangered species, and culturally significant landscapes.
